How did you get to be a Marketing Expert?

I've been in the holistic field since 1991. Years ago, when I started out I remember having to figure out how to get clients. And it wasn't always easy!

I tried everything I could to get clients. And I learned what worked and what didn't. I lost money and valuable energy and time on strategies that didn't work.

But eventually I learned what did work and how to draw clients to me in an authentic way. Because this is my livelihood and sole income, the marketing strategies I used absolutely had to work.

So I started to grow my Practice and actually really enjoy marketing!
But then I started talking to colleagues (EFT Practitioners, Naturopaths, Acupuncturists, Classical Homeopaths, Nutritionists, etc). Some I went to school with years ago and some were Practitioners that have watched me build my Practice steadily.

They all shared the same struggle: passionate for what they were doing but struggling to get patients. Some actually gave up their dream. Others wondered what to do. I heard stories of wasted money on advertisement that didn't work.

I begin to teach them simple strategies to draw clients consistently and steadily grow their Practice. They were thrilled and so was I. I was able to help these Practitioners do what they love and increase their income while serving others. I started a marketing company (as well as running my practice) called Pretty Smart Marketing, which is now the The Practice Building Institute.

So this is my passion: to assist other Practitioners in building their ideal Practice and make a great living doing what they love.

You know what I discovered? I had two passions. The first was my private Practice.  
  The second was teaching Holistic Practitioners how to grow their business.

How is your coaching and mentoring different?

I've learned firsthand in my Practice, and through coaching others, what's necessary to keep a business running smoothly and profitable and also what drains money, time and energy from the Practitioner and their staff. I know what it's like to waste money on marketing that was not effective because it was not geared to the Holistic field.

Because of my passion for complementary modalities, I'm dedicated to mentor as many Holistic Practitioners as I can, sharing exactly what to do to have a Practice that fulfills them and gives them their desired lifestyle.

Also, I continually add to my marketing knowledge by hiring top notch, internationally known coaches and implement their wisdom and strategies into the programs, products and coaching at The Practice Building Institute.

I've been told I have a loving, down-to-earth and no-nonsense style of coaching. I'm unique in that I have worn the hat of every aspect of a private Practice: I've been an assistant, office manager, Practitioner and on many occasions the patient. This gives me the unique advantage and perspective of knowing every aspect of a Practice and what is needed to have it run smoothly and successfully. This has made me the "go-to marketing gal" for Holistic Practitioners.

What type of Practitioner is suited for your programs?

My workshops, products and programs are created for Practitioners who want to get patients consistently and build a sustainable Practice that gives them time, money and freedom. 

I've guided both Practitioners who have been in Practice a few years and others a few decades, and everyone in between. What's essential is that they have a strong desire to do what they love and create a thriving Practice and get paid what they are worth.

I love working with 'achievers-with-heart.' They are for people, like myself, that want to make a great income doing what they are passionate about. So my products and programs are 'hands-on' courses where you implement  the strategies right away. You are expected to participate, while having myself as a mentor to guide you every step of the way.

Private Coaching
When space is available, I take on private clients. Here are some areas we focus on:
